CAMPUS CARBONTRACE (CCT)
The Campus CarbonTrace (CCT) system is a dedicated platform developed to measure and monitor Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions across Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). It functions as a centralized tool for collecting, calculating, and analyzing carbon emission data generated from campus activities such as electricity consumption, fuel usage, transportation, and other operational sources. By converting energy and resource usage into equivalent carbon emissions (e.g., CO₂), CCT enables UiTM to quantify its overall carbon footprint and identify key emission sources. The system supports data-driven decision-making by providing insights that help the university plan targeted energy-saving initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and reduce environmental impact. Additionally, CCT plays an important role in sustainability reporting and aligns with institutional commitments to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13 (Climate Action), while complementing tools like EMIT by linking recorded energy initiatives with measurable GHG reduction outcomes.
